Tytuł: UK1541 & Speed dos etc parallel speeders
Wiadomość wysłana przez: Diddl w 24 Marca 2015, 21:30
I have a question to UK1541 and userport:

Is this only for powering UK1541 or is there planned to get work a parallel speed up like Speed-DOS, Dolphin DOS or Prologic DOS?

@Admin, please move this question to UK1514 Q&A.

User port is with use of ATN,GND, POWER and ... 8-bit burst port. But as far I remember well that was existing one version of loader with 10bit signals instead of 8. This is not provided in UK, lack of I/O.

Burt copiers would also use additional 10 bits (8 data, 2 control) - I have a DB9 connector in my 1541-II and its shell is connected to one of these signals (so I have all 10 bits required), I know this is wrong - but I did it umpteens years ago.

First you need to give precise information , name of program would be great because as I said I found only one loader working with handshake and this is why I added 2 extra line to my 1541-II.

Yeah - it was a Burst Copier published in one of the (paper) Kebab's. Indeed - the question is whether it really required the 8+2 lines on the parallel cable, I did it according to the schematic they published. But - I think I disassembled it and then I was playing with the burst cable myself, I still should have the TASM sources.
