I received my UK1541 yesterday.  ;)

Working fine !

Commodore Userport Connector is a little fragile... I have screwed too strong.

However, it's a piece of choice ! great !

Ok!

I got mine and ive tried it out a bit.
I tested a few games and demos on c64, seems to work fine.
I tested a few games and demos on vic20, seems to work fine.
I tested it in the Plus4, it does not fit! =P
I need to get a userport-extender to use it with Plus4.

Ive used Victracker on vic20 from a d64 on the uk1541.
Victracker does not load/save to a sd2iec, but seems to work on uk1541.
However when i checked this morning, ONE of the files i saved on the uk1541 was zero bytes.
Dunno of this is a fault in uk1541 or a bug in victracker.

Hi,

I've tested my UK1541 in my commodore plus/4 and I want to give some feedback.
    1
    • first of all: emulation seems to be quite good, I've encountered only a few programs which were incompatible with the UK1541
    2
    • most of the times when I power up the machine UK stucks at the checking for firmware update message (I don't remember which one because I lent my card to a friend) and I have to press the right button of UK to reset menu
    3
    • some disk images cannot be mounted with file fragmented error message - does it really not handle fragmented disk images??
    4
    • if I enter a directory with lots of files it takes several seconds. It would be good to have a feedback that UK is working on it because I'm never sure if it's working or it didn't received my command and sometimes I press the button on the remote again and I go back to the previous directory immediately
    5
    • sometimes (after deleting files from SD card?) there are corrupt entries in the end of directory listing of the SD card
1. Name of programs,
2. Change computer and recheck again,
3. Yes, in progress, you can use defrag
4. Yes, procedure is scanning directory for files, maximum amount of files is 2^32, it takes time even if you use Cortex M0@48Mhz
5. There is a plenty of errors in FS handler. Small bugs hard to find. Usually I have feedback from betatesters with partition to check. You can use fatsort.

Thanks for feedback ![/list]

Can You point any title which is not working? So I can check it on my own? For now I couldn't find any game not working on my UK, so I am interesting in this information for check and confirm.

1. Name of programs,

Hi Kisiel,

I wanted to give it a try again (as I'm sitting at Árok party and I have a little time to tinker with my plus/4). Before testing what stuff does not work I wanted to upgrade firmware on my UK. I've downloaded the latest ones: 65_core_1.2.0.11.2015 and I tough SD_core_0.0049.052016 and flashed them. The flash went fine and that's when I learned that it was SD_core_0.0050.062016 :).

My problem: my SD card is now not working with the UK. I was using this same card for over 1 year now but wth the new firmware the UK says: Cluster size is not supported.
Is this a bug or due to some new development I have to reformat my card? What cluster sizes are  supported now?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks for the help. I reformatted the card with FAT32 and 4k cluster size and now it works perfectly.
