Plug the modem into your Commodore user port with the label side up (See pic)• Load CCGMS 2017• Press F7• Press 'M' to set modem type as User Port, and then press 'B' to select 300 baud• Press Return to go back to terminal• Press Return and you should see the Modem Info on the screen. If not type 'ati' then press return and the info should pop up.• Hit F8 to go to Ascii mode (THIS IS IMPORTANT AS YOUR PASSWORD AND ID WILL NOT ENTER CORRECTLY IN GRAPHICS MODE!)• Enter your ssid and password with the following terminal commands: at$ssid=ssid then press return and then at$pass=password then press return.• F8 to go back to the Graphics terminal• Type 'atc1' to connect. You may have to do this a few times to get it to connect• Type the commands 'at&p0' and press return then 'at&k1' and press return . Without doing this 9600 baud will lock up your c64• Change the baud rate by typing 'at$sb=9600' then press return.• Press F7 and select modem type by pressing 'M' as Up9600 and then change the baud rate by pressing 'B' to 9600• Save your settings by pressing 'S'• Press Return to go back to terminal• Type 'at&w' then press return to save the settings to the modem*Type atds1Enter NEW at the prompt to register!Now that you have registered on my BBS you can ask questions and leave comments or suggestions.Next lets go over the list of commands for the modem.at? - This will list the commands available on the modem.atdt - Dial host.example:atdtcommodore4everbbs.exampl:6400atds- Speed Dial. This will dial the address that is store in thesaved slot (0-9). example:atds0 This will dial the hostsaved in slot 0at&z- This will save a host to the desired slot (0-9) example:at&z0=commodore4everbbs.exampl:6400 This will savehost to speeddial slot 0atnet- This sets telnet control to on or off (0-1) This does notneed to be changed as it is set correctly by default (0).ati- This will list all of the current modem information.at&w - This will save changes to modem setting.at&v - This will show the current and saved modem settings.at&f - Return all settings to default.at&p - Sets modem polarity (0=inverted, 1=Normal) example:at&p1ate - Sets terminal echo on or off (0=off, 1=on) example: ate1at&ssid= - Sets wifi ID. example: at$ssid=yourmodemat$pass= - Sets wifi password. example: at$pass=modempassat&k - Sets modem flow control (0=off, 1=on) example: at&k1+++ - Enter modem command modeath - Hangup.
